Because of recent personal low moments in the "I am happy" levels (i.e., been failing at being able to say that for a little while), I'm going to be doing the following meme:

Well. To start off, even if the day is still young:

+ the weather channel said that there was a possibility of snow today (more than likely, it'll be the wet, soggy kind). This made me giddy as all else. ... until I shared the news with some classmates of mine who scoffed and basically said, "It won't be real snow like in Minnesota (because I have relatives there and know what it's like)."

But remained cheerful despite this because zomg possibility of winter weather~

+ More French history in French lit today. I r happy history buff who, yes, had to relate everything to Hetalia because I'm easily amused like that. (For some reason, I had the running commentary of Arthur going, "Five Republics. Think you have enough?" with Francis responding, "Oh, I'm not sure... certainly not as bad as how many monarchs you've gotten rid of, non?" and... yeah.)

+ Relating Shakespeare with my French studies. Because we were reading an excerpt from Madame de Staël's De la littérature considéré dans ses rapports avec les institutions sociales (abbrev. as De la littérature) involving the tragedies of Shakespeare and the difference between English and French literature.

+ My speaking of French is a lot better thanks to that phonetics course and I will probably be happy about this for a while.

So. Because I am a brilliant person, I end up leaving my school ID (also the only means to get food from the caf) at the bookstore this Friday and didn't notice until Saturday.

This means that I went the whole weekend surviving on two or three things of ramen.

... yey.

Also, I smartly decided to watch cooking shows Sunday night. Emeril, some American Iron Chef, some other Food Network show...

Needless to say that I was (still am, actually, gonna go eat here shortly) hungry. And had nothing to eat and no money to get food. ;o;

Luckily, I recovered my ID this morning and got a quick snack before going into my French class with DeMattos fully prepared! I read Madame de Staël's biography as well as François-René de Chateaubriand's biography and Le Mal du siècle, which is an excerpt from his work René (which I just read a summary of on wikipedia and wtf that ending).

Read all of that and we didn't even touch on any of these things in class today DX

Oh, well. I'm pretty prepared for when we do go over them in class. STAYING ONE STEP AHEAD, BOHAHAHAHA!

Also, I have 2 articles I have to read and then present to my class, so people on my flist who have knowledge of French: aidez-moi, s'il vous plaît? I'll probably write a post on them whenever I get around to them.

Also, am out of hermit more, sort of. I'm feeling kind of detached from the internet and, in relation, RPing. So... I think it'll get better once I get everything all balanced out. I seem to go through phases on this. It'll pass~ It'll pass~

Just got back from a Pep Rally and goddamn it, I miss having in-door pep rallys. Freakin' mosquitoes were eating us ALIVE, I swear. And now my legs itch like crazy DX

And before I get started on this post, let me just say that... guys? I know not to do a lot of those things I ranted about before. Like a said. "Me" is a smart person, apparently. And knows not to. But it's always there, that sort of thing. But I'm too much of a control freak to do anything of the sort. ... at least not to the point of addiction.

But thanks for the advice and such? It's just very frustrating sometimes when people tell me "You don't get it" when they talk about those kinds of things. And yes, I don't get it. Mostly because I can't stand not being in control of myself. So probably a lot of those people "don't get it" about control freaks and things like that. Meh.

Anyway, on to more happier subjects or something.

Today, I slept through my classes. Mostly because I was feeling absolutely horrible. Not because of my sleeping schedule, surprisingly. But more because of the fact that the pre-mature weather change from highs of 100 to highs of 80 got to my immune system. Not only that but it's been dry as fuck over here--was 100% humidity, now it's closer to 60%. It's murder on my poor throat which I need to speak French and play my clarinet.

So yeah. I was sick. And couldn't get the energy to get up, coughing like crazy, throat burning and sob. I took one tablet of aspirin in hopes that it would help, but of course it didn't. Silly me. Thankfully, my throat seems a lot better for it since I'm a chatterbox in my classes or something, going to class would mean I would end up talking and using my throat and that would aggravate it worse.

But I did end up going to band, because we had a pep rally right after rehearsal and those are worth like my entire grade if I don't show up without a proper excuse.

Meh.

I'm actually going to head to bed early tonight--like only gonna be online till 11PM over here at the latest. Because ahaha, I need a good amount of sleep if I want my throat to get better and my immune system to kick back into gear. Trust me, I'm not the only one having troubles with the sudden change in weather. It's horrible really--even if the temperatures feel so nice.

Besides that... huh. I dunno.

In other news, I am obsessing really bad about a series. Yes, yes. I fail at not squeeing about it. And so I can feel somewhat cool, I'm not going to say what series it is.

Don't worry, it's really really obvious, I swear.

Nothing to report on the job front. I gave my information to the Donut Shop lady who said she'd call me up if any of the small-job workers who come in need help or anything. Saa... I do, however, have an old application to Sonic... which I'll change the date on and submit. Because I am a sneaky bitch like that. Learned my lesson about telling people I'm not going to be working somewhere long.

Beyond that... the school front. I got $14k in financial aid this year.

... I'm... somewhat shocked. I have over $4.5k per quarter, I think. It's... insane, yeah. And yeah more loans but I'll also probably be completely covered this year. Which... yeah.

This is the joy that comes because your father didn't have a job for over 9 months.

Sadly, it won't be so easy next year.

... maybe if I save up whatever money I get back, I'll be able to travel next summer. Wouldn't that be the best thing to happen?

I'm kind of nervous thinking that far ahead though~ So I'll just hope that everything will go well~

Should have this situation with my dental insurance peeps settled by tomorrow (don't remember if I ranted about it here on LJ but I'll do that some day when I'm not tiiiiiiiiired).

Went to eat at some Italian-sounding place, I think. It was good! Then I went to Hastings and looked around and then babbled with a woman about the Star Wars Extended Universe books (omg, I am so far behind and am rediscovering my love for the series :<<<). Then I went to movie theater and saw Wall-E. Omg socute soadorable iluwall-e :<<<<

Aaaaaaaaand that's pretty much been my day. I'll babble more about my love for Star Wars books soon, I think :>

I managed to get the $445 I need for the wisdom teeth surgery. All money now is going toward bus tickets to visit folks and school stuff. Which I need to work on finalizing.

I'm kind of glad that summer is near the end because it means I'll get to be away from having a job for a short time--like two weeks before having to get back into the swing of things with school and bandcamp and stuff like that.

Oh, some good news! My dad got a new job that gets him $10k more a year than the job he has now~ So yeah~ Win and awsum and, Dad, you really have no excuse not to help me out if money gets tight for me this year, kay? Ilu, father-unit~ ♥

Besides all of this, ONE WEEK TILL WISDOM TEETH REMOVAL which happens on my nephew's 2nd bday. Sob sob. I swear I'll be there on your bday some day, little Gnat. ;;b

Yesterday was me chilling and spamming it up on CFUD with Stein because lololol, he's such a spamwhore. Not only did I work on that rolly-chair post of mine, but I also went back and did more of the co-post with Captain Jack Harkness and then with Maka and Death the Kid (because they were telling mean mean lies about me and giving people rape whistles). And then, finally, I got to play with Nii and Jizabel. :DDD Mad scientists unite~

Thankfully, I also conked out for a good 10 hours yesterday, which is why I'm still awake but am about to head to my room to chill and eventually pass out.

Am resolved to talk things over with a friend of mine. I just need to find the time and the courage to actually do it. As much as I say I fight out things, I'm a coward when it comes to bringing up the subject.
